Huron University College is academically affiliated with the University of Western Ontario, granting students full access to Western's academic, community, cultural and athletic facilities, in addition to University of Western Ontario degrees.

Huron provides a residential, liberal arts and theology university with a small class sizes and advanced facilities, including a student services access center, computer room, language lab, career and employment counseling.

This Ontario college promotes educational excellence with an international understanding and cooperation Students receive a broad education which helps prepare them for positions of leadership and responsibility. In addition to academic and extracurricular activities, Huron and Western offer community-based learning, local and international volunteer service/missions, internships and study abroad programs.

Huron promotes research with innovative thinking about issues critical to Canadians its unified Faculty structure (Arts and Social Science) encourages interdisciplinary research. Third and fourth year students can acquire direct research experience as paid or volunteer research assistants to faculty members.

The university has a community-based learning initiative links the classroom with communities outside the university giving the students exposure to social needs and new sources of knowledge. Huron offers a variety of community based learning courses, summer and business internships, and an International Peer Guide Program, as well as countless volunteer opportunities.

The small, undergraduate-focused campus at Huron is complemented by full access to the University of Western Ontario, a premier research university right across the road, providing a well-balanced experience of classroom and community-based learning, locally and internationally.
