Idaho State University is an accredited, coeducational research university offering associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. Based in Pocatello, this Idaho public university also has centers in Idaho Falls, Twin Falls, and Boise. A rural distance learning program offers classes at several outreach sites throughout Idaho.

Idaho State University students can earn their degree through nationally recognized programs in business, pharmacy, and health professions. In addition, more than 280 academic programs are offered through Idaho State University's seven schools: Arts and Sciences, business, Education, engineering, Pharmacy, Health Professions, and technology.

Located in the mountains of southeastern Idaho, the Idaho State University campus attractes tourists as well as students. The campus is home to the Idaho Museum of Natural History, the Idaho State Arboretum, and the Stephens Performing Arts Center. The Idaho State University Bengals compete as an NCAA Division I team in the Big Sky conference, and the men's and women's track teams have both won recent conference titles. The Division I-AA football team plays at Holt Arena, the oldest enclosed college stadium.
