Ilisagvik College is a two-year Alaska community college offering post-secondary academic, vocational and technical education aimed at matching workforce needs. One thing that Ilisagvik College looks to strengthen in its students is the Inupiat (Eskimo) culture, language, values and traditions.

The Ilisagvik College campus is situated in the Northernmost part of Alaska, on what was originally the United States Naval Arctic Research Laboratory. In 1995, this site became the newly renovated main campus for Ilisagvik College. The main building on this Alaska Community College houses the residential center and a full-service cafeteria. This building also contains administrative offices, student services, and instructional administration and support. Also located on the main campus is a Recreation Center for students, faculty, and staff.

There is an Adult Learning Center and Workforce Development at Ilisagvik College. Some academic classes meet in the Ilisagvik College Browerville Center, formerly known as the Polar Bear Building adjoining the North Star Building or Browerville Annex.

The associate of arts degree at Ilisagvik College allows students to take a wide variety of courses in the arts, humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and natural sciences. This degree at this Alaska Community College also provides the courses necessary to fulfill the first two years of a bachelor of arts degree. These credits may be transferred to other educational institutions.

Ilisagvik College has been accredited by the Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education.
