Illinois Aviation Academy (IAA) is a dedicated flight school offering flight training in a wide range of pilot certifications, advanced education opportunities, pleasure flying, and business travel options within a challenging class D tower-controlled environment.

Illinois Aviation Academy provides college-level ground school FAA courses at six community colleges in the Chicago area as well as at its hanger facility in West Chicago. IAA courses include Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, Multi-Engine Rating, Airline Transportation Pilot, and Airline Crew Training. Students have the flexibility to switch among programs mid-training.

The Illinois Aviation Academy hanger facility is equipped with a Lasergrade computerized FAA testing center. The flight training department provides a quiet aviation environment. The front office hosts a weather station for flight planning, a pilot shop for supplies, and an executive conference room for business meetings.

Illinois Aviation Academy is associated with local community colleges giving students the opportunity to participate in various degree programs. IAA teaches aviation ground school classes through each of the college's Office of Continuing Education.

Illinois Aviation Academy offers an aviation degree via the Internet. IAA graduates can complete their degree online while flying professionally for the airlines.
