Indiana University/Purdue University at Columbus is a public, coeducational university established in 1970. This Indiana state university is one of several campuses jointly operated by Indiana University and Purdue University, two of the nation's largest university systems.

Although Indiana University/Purdue University at Columbus is the smallest campus in the Indiana University system, it offers a range of bachelor's degrees in business, education, and professional studies, along with an M.B.A. program. Students can also begin their academic career by taking courses in more than 20 additional fields offered at IUPUC, before transferring to the Indianapolis campus to complete their degree.

In addition to its degree programs, Indiana University/Purdue University at Columbus offers an Executive Education program to provide specialized courses and training to professionals. Class offerings range from a few hours to 16 weeks, and prospective students can tailor courses in the IUPUC catalog to suit their needs.

The campus includes a wildflower meadow and sculpture garden, which feature work from regional artists and students at Indiana University's Herron School of Art and Design. Students can participate in academic clubs, professional societies, and student council.
