A member of the Community Colleges of Spokane, the Institute for Extended Learning is dedicated to providing community members with the educational and career opportunities they need. Towards this end, this Washington school has over 30 locations that serve community members from a 12,312-square mile area -- including the counties of Ferry, Lincoln, Spokane, Stevens, Pen Oreille, and Whitman. Present even in the most rural of areas, the Institute for Extended Learning helps bring education and opportunities within easy reach of residents.

As a result of its relationship with both Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College, the Institute for Extended Learning is able to offer students a variety of courses and program opportunities. In addition to continuing education and business training services, the Washington school also offers a number of certificate and associate degree programs that have been accredited under Spokane community college and Spokane Falls Community College.

The Institute for Extended Learning has also had a large impact upon the Washington senior community. Thanks to its presence at education centers throughout the state, almost 6,000 senior citizens have been able to enroll in non-credit courses.
