The Institute of Technology (IT) is the University of
Minnesota's college of
engineering, physical sciences, and mathematics. IT comprises 13 academic departments and 24 research centers, offering baccalaureate, masters, and doctorate degree programs.
The Institute of Technology offers a variety of options for degree programs. Students can select one of the college's 19 undergraduate majors or integrate courses from several departments for an interdisciplinary or combined degree program. IT also offers dual degree programs that combine a strong
liberal arts education with study in engineering.
The Institute of Technology offers outstanding learning opportunities beyond the classroom as well, such as internships and co-ops, the IT Mentor Program, independent research, and study abroad.
