Established in 1975, the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (ITP) aims to educate individuals who are looking to build careers helping others to explore their minds, bodies, and spirits. The graduate programs of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology serve to educate clinicians, consultants, spiritual guides, and wellness caregivers in a way that has established the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology as a center for
holistic learning.
The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology offers six residential programs at its campus in Palo Alto: PhD in Clinical Psychology, PhD in Transpersonal Psychology, MA in Counseling Psychology, MA in Transpersonal Psychology, and two part-time program options for the MA in Counseling Psychology and MA in Transpersonal Psychology. Four
online programs allow students from all over the world to take classes and earn degrees in the following areas:
certificate in Transpersonal Studies,
professional training in Transformational Life Coaching, Master of Transpersonal Psychology, and PhD in Psychology. A student's
education at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology is further enhanced by regularly scheduled colloquia, workshops, seminars, and
continuing education programs.
The holistic education offered by the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology centers on a combination of classroom work and practical experience in six areas of the human experience: creative, emotional, intellectual, physical, relational, and spiritual. Graduates of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology will use the classical and modern methods they have learned and apply them to rewarding careers in holistic psychotherapy.
