The Institute of World Politics is an independent, non-profit Graduate School focusing on national security and international affairs. Founded in 1990, IWP launched its Master of Arts program ten years later and received accreditation in 2006. In addition to career preparation, the Institute of World Politics aims to foster a better understanding of political realities and ethical conduct.

The academic program at the Institute of World Politics provides a career-focused education for students interested in national security, intelligence, or international affairs. Students can pursue their master's degree in Statecraft and National Security Affairs, Statecraft and World Politics, or Strategic Alliance Studies. Eight post-baccalaureate certificate programs are available as well. Continuing students can enroll on a credit or non-credit basis.

Each student in the master's degree program at the Institute of World Politics is assigned to a faculty advisor. Counseling and job placement services are also available from an IWP career consultant. In addition, students can attend school-sponsored conferences and seminars to discuss Public Policy issues with government officials and business executives.
