Established more than 20 years ago, International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver is a Canadian school devoted to instruction students in the practices and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM.

Once students are enrolled at International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver, they will complete a year of general courses, after which time they choose the diploma program they'd like to pursue. These programs are: the three-year acupuncturist program, three-year herbalist program, four-year Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner program, and the five-year doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program.

If students wish, they may lessen the length of time necessary for completing a diploma program by enrolling in summer sessions. This will typically shorten their schooling by a year.

Programs have also been approved by the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists (CTCMA) of B.C.

In order to apply to this Canadian School's certificate programs, a student must be over 19 years old or have completed high school. Students who wish to enroll in a diploma program, however, must have two years of university education, or the equivalent.

Students gain plenty of hands-on education thanks to International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver's College Clinic. Offering members of the public both consultations and treatments, the College Clinic allows students to not only observe experienced instructors at work, but test out their own skills under the close supervision of their teachers.
