Technical College is a comprehensive, two-year institution-the largest in the
Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS). On July 1, 2005, Jefferson Community and Technical College was formed as two long-standing Louisville-based colleges --
Jefferson Community College and Jefferson Technical College - -merged. Students come from more than 90 different counties in Kentucky to attend
Jefferson Community & Technical College; however, most students are drawn from the five counties surrounding the five college campuses.
Jefferson Community and Technical College is committed to serving students through superior faculty, small classes, flexible schedules, distance learning, and a safe learning environment. Additionally, students, faculty, staff and community members are also offered dozens of opportunities for personal and cultural enrichment. Despite the growth that Jefferson Community and Technical College has experienced, it has not forgotten its top priority, its students.
Jefferson Community and Technical College offers associate degrees, diploma and certificate programs in various career fields; adult, continuing and developmental education; customized training for the workplace; and distance learning. In fact, Jefferson Community and Technical College is the state's largest provider of
online courses, available through Kentucky Virtual University. An added benefit to attending Jefferson Community and Technical College is that students are able to transfer credits across different KCTCS campuses. Despite the growth that Jefferson Community and Technical College has experienced, it has not forgotten its top priority: its students.
