JNA Institute of Culinary Arts, founded in 1988, is a private, coeducational, culinary institute located on an urban campus in Philadelphia. Students are taught in a realistic job setting. Graduates are trained to become employable in the shortest time possible. The culinary institute's program calendar is divided into quarters of ten-week cycles.

There are more than 70 students and 10 faculty members at the culinary institute. The student to faculty ratio is 12 to one. Students can pursue a 30-week diploma program in food service training/professional cooking that includes classes that bring them up to speed on cooking processes as well as classes in cooking science that analyze recipes and aspects of measurement and portion control. A 60-week associate degree in culinary arts/restaurant management is also available, which includes classes in bar and beverage management as well as legal aspects of hospitality management.

Both courses of study allow the JNA Institute of Culinary Arts student to participate in a paid externship at a local restaurant or other food service operation.
