Founded in 1886, John Carroll University is a private, coeducational, Catholic and Jesuit university providing programs in liberal arts, sciences and business. Characteristic of a Jesuit education, this Ohio College is committed to "developing leaders that make a difference," and students are encouraged to apply their knowledge through service to the community.

The academic program at John Carroll University is comprised of three schools. Students can pursue a bachelor's degree in more than 30 fields through the College of Arts and Sciences. The Boler School of business offers seven majors, and the Graduate School offers a Master of business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy.

John Carroll University is an NCAA Division III school with ten men's sports and ten women's sports at the varsity level. Students can also compete in club-level sports like crew and karate, or intramural games like Euchre and Texas Hold'Em. In addition, more than 90 student organizations are available, ranging from Greek life to the student union.
