Johnson College is a private, two-year
Technical College founded in 1912. Johnson College has eight buildings including a library, bookstore, gymnasium, physical fitness center, classrooms, shops, laboratories, administrative offices and a student apartment complex on a 65-acre campus.
There are approximately 400 students pursuing degrees in 12 different trade,
technical, or clinical programs. Associate in Applied Science degree programs include architectural drafting and design
technology, diesel truck technology, precision machining technology and heating ventilation and air conditioning. The Associate in Science degree programs include computer
information technology,
radiologic technology and veterinary technology. The average student to faculty ratio is 17 to one.
Johnson students spend 60 percent of their time in technology courses and the remainder in general
education classes. Most students participate in an internship in their second year and approximately 80 percent of these internships result in permanent employment.

The graduating class of 1998 was the first class to receive either an Associate in Applied Science degree or an Associate in Science degree.
