Josef's School of Hair Design has been preparing students for careers in the beauty industry for more than half a century. Josef's has two locations in North Dakota, one in Fargo and the other in Grand Forks. Students at Josef's School of Hair Design can study Cosmetology, massage therapy, skin aesthetics and Nail Design.

After completing the introductory part of the course they advance to the clinic floor where they practice the techniques they've learned on actual clients. Milady cosmetology textbooks are used to supplement hands-on instruction at Josef's School of Hair Design. Advanced training covers facials and make-up, manicuring, scalp treatments, lashes and brows, hair cutting, eyebrows and arches, shampooing, wig training, permanent waves, professional ethics and good grooming, finger waves and hair coloring.

Josef's School of Hair Design also offers a program that prepares students to practice as licensed massage therapists in the state of North Dakota. The program is only offered at the Grand Forks location. The Grand Forks location also has classes in skin aesthetics. In this 19-week program, student will learn about microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facials, make-up techniques and different skin care product lines. 'Students can also enroll in a program in Nail Technology. This 350-hour program includes hands-on training in manicuring, artificial nail application and nail design.

Financial aid may be available to help qualified students pay for their education at Josef's School of Hair Design. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the campus to tour the facilities and meet the staff before enrolling. The school's Fargo campus is located in a downtown building with more than 6,000 square feet of floor space. The Grand Forks campus is nearly twice that size. Programs at both campuses begin several times a year so students can start their studies when it is most convenient for them. Josef's School of Hair Design is accredited by the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS).
