chinese medicine is a non-profit educational institution, located in the middle of the Appalachian mountain range, that offers a graduate level Diploma of
acupuncture program, as well as postgraduate seminars and taijiquan classes. The area offers students opportunities for hiking, camping, mountain climbing, rafting and skiing.
Jung Tao School of Classical
chinese medicine occupies 14,000 square feet of a 25,000 square foot, two-story, stone masonry building recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. The facilities include three large 25 seat classrooms, a laboratory classroom, taijiquan studio, library, student and faculty lounge and breakroom, three administrative offices and a 4,000 square foot intern clinic with seven treatment rooms.
There are no quarters, trimesters, or semesters at Jung Tao School. The structure of the diploma program is taught as one contiguous piece, with all students in a class remaining together through the full program. Each course lasts ten months. Students also must complete two 90-hour clinical observation rotations.
