Kalamazoo Center for the
Healing Arts'
school of massage and
bodywork, established in 1986, is situated in a modern facility in a serene, wooded setting. It is West Michigan's largest school of massage. Students study to become certified massage therapists and complete a 600-hour program that includes hands-on experience from day one.
Kalamazoo Center for the
Healing Arts' School of Massage and Bodywork classes are a combination of hard science and
Holistic Health. Students are also trained in a wide variety of sound
business practices. Trimesters run year-round, in sessions of 10 to 15 weeks. Most students attend classes continually throughout the year. All instructors are skilled and practicing massage therapists.
The School of Massage and Bodywork also offers students additional training through an apprentice program and specialty and graduate training programs. The 200-hour specialty programs include: Massage for the Chronically Ill, Aging and Dying; Massage for Infants and Children; Natural Remedies with optional certification in colon therapy; and Women's Health.
