Kansas College of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1997, is a private college that prepares its students for a career in Chinese medicine. Students may pursue programs in Oriental bodywork or a Master of oriental medicine. Kansas college of Chinese Medicine students are prepared for a career in the integrative medicine field and learn about acupuncture, herbal medicine, Qigong for the Mind, Body & Spirit, and Oriental Bodywork and Massage. KCCM's programs also include an extensive study in Western biomedical sciences.

The Oriental Bodywork Program requires completion of 360 didactic and 240 clinic practice hours and takes approximately 12 to 18 months to complete. The Master of Oriental Medicine Program is a four year, 2955-hour course of study comprised of 1965 didactic, 900 clinic practice hours, and 120 hours of community service or volunteer hours. Students are also required to take 90 elective class hours. The Kansas College of Chinese Medicine also offers a variety of Massage and Bodywork continuing education courses.

Classes for the Oriental Bodywork Program are held on evenings and weekends. Students attend one to two evenings a week and approximately two weekends per month. Students enrolled in the Master of Oriental Medicine Program will attend classes three to four days during the week and occasionally on the weekend. All students must also participate in four, eight-hour clinical observation/practicum per week.

  • The Evergreen Wellness Center is a full service Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic located on campus. It contains individual treatment centers, a fully stocked and maintained herbal pharmacy and provides students with supervised observation and treatment practice in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Oriental Bodywork.

  • Admission to the Oriental Bodywork Program requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Students applying to the Master of Oriental Program must have at least two years, or 60 credit hours of pre-requisite undergraduate study prior to entry.
