Established in 1997 in Claremont, Calif., Keck Graduate Institute is the only Graduate School in America completely dedicated to the study of bioscience. Keck Graduate Institute additionally sets itself apart from other schools by offering the world's only Master of Bioscience degree, awarded to students upon completion of a two-year applied life sciences program.

The Master of Bioscience (MBS) degree is a two-year interdisciplinary program that aims to prepare students for exciting careers in biological systems, computational biology and bioengineering. The alumni of Keck Graduate Institute's applied research programs are working on innovative technologies in the life sciences of which the resulting discoveries will benefit the world.

Keck Graduate Institute's newest academic opportunity is its doctoral program in applied life sciences. Select graduate students of the MBS program are able continue their studies and expand their applied bioscience research by using the Expertise of the faculty and the accessibility of Keck Graduate Institute's labs and resources.

Because so much of Keck Graduate Institute's research is for the benefit of society, the MBS-PhD program is supported by strong partnerships with science industry leaders.
