For more than 100 years, Kent State University has served the needs of students in the state of Ohio. Today the university boasts an eight-campus system, one of which is Kent State East Liverpool.

Founded in 1965, Kent State East Liverpool functions both as a community college and traditional four-year college in the area of East Liverpool. With its course offering of seven bachelor's degree programs and 11 associate degree programs, the Ohio College allows students the option of continuing to pursue higher education or focusing on the career training and preparation they need for entering the workforce. The bachelor's degree and Associate Degree programs that are offered cover such fields and subjects as legal assisting, nursing, business management, computer technology, accounting, justice studies, general studies, and occupational therapy.

Today, students of Kent State East Liverpool enjoy an intimate learning environment that boast an average class size of 18 students, and a student body with an average age of 27.

As of the autumn of 2007, more than 34,000 students were enrolled in Kent University, with over 900 students attending class at Kent State East Liverpool.

Students of Kent State East Liverpool participate in such extracurricular groups and organizations as: Feminism NOW, Harmony Alliance, Justice Studies Club, Student Occupational Therapy Assistants (SOTA), and Human Services Technology Club.

A few of Kent State East Liverpool's bachelor's degree programs require that students complete some coursework at Kent State University's main campus in Kent.

In partnership with the Kent State University Salem campus, this Ohio college boasts a student-run news blog known as "The Eastern Flash."
