La' James College, founded in 1932, specializes in
massage therapy, hairstyling,
Cosmetology, and
Nail Technology. After graduation, La James students become cosmetologists, hair stylists, barbers, esthetologists, make-up artists, nail technicians and massage therapists.
La' James College housing includes several approved apartments and sorority-style dorm facilities available for the female students. The dorm is typical of student housing found in many college communities, with rooms varying in size from single to double-occupancy, and a community lounge, kitchen, bath and laundry room shared by all residents.
high school students may attend a Summer
cosmetology Program between their junior and senior years. Students may complete 280 hours or more of the cosmetology course during this time and study part-time during their senior year. This program gives high school students a head start, preparing them for a position in the beauty profession.
