Lake Superior State University offers more than 45 areas of study in its undergraduate program. The academic department prides itself on unique offerings: Lake Superior State University was the first school in the nation to offer an accredited four-year Fire Science program and is one of only three schools to offer a robotics specialization in its B.S. in
engineering program. At the graduate level, students can pursue a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction.
The 115-acre campus is located on the former site of the U.S. Army's Fort Brady, and more than a dozen Lake Superior State University buildings are listed on historic registers. The athletic program at Lake Superior State University includes an NCAA Division I men's ice hockey team along with 10 additional men's and women's teams at the Division II level. In addition, students can participate in more than 60 clubs and organizations.
