Lambuth University is an independent, non-profit, coeducational four-year college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1843 and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, this Tennessee
Christian college provides a
liberal arts education within a
Christian environment, although students of all faiths are welcome.
Bachelor's degrees are offered in more than 50 majors and concentrations, including humanities, sciences, and visual and performing arts. All degree programs are rooted in a
liberal arts curriculum that includes courses in religion, natural science, mathematics, social science,
fine arts, and computer information systems. Students can also pursue a variety of pre-professional programs, including ministry, health,
engineering, and law. Students can enrich their education with a study abroad program at Regents College in London or through participation in university and departmental honors programs.
Lambuth University is an NAIA Division I school with eight men's teams, eight women's teams, and co-ed teams in cheerleading and dance. More than 40 student organizations are also available, including intramural sports, academic clubs, Greek life, and performance groups.
