Lanier Technical College, located on five Georgia campuses in Oakwood, Cumming, Commerce, Winder and Dawsonville, offers career-technical education programs leading to associate of applied science degrees, diplomas, and technical certificates of credit. Lanier Technical College also offers customized business and industry training and economic development services, as well as continuing education for technical and professional development.

Lanier technical College's student body is comprised of more than 5,200 students, plus an additional 7,000 students enrolled in the adult literacy program and about 15,000 in economic development programs.

Economic development courses include customized training in: supervisory development, team building; communication skills; conversational Spanish; computer skills; statistical process control; precision measuring instruments; and CPR and First Aid. Continuing education and safety training include one-day computer workshops, first aid, CPR, and forklift training.

Lanier offers GED and English Literacy classes free of charge.

Lanier guarantees retraining at no cost if a graduate is found to be deficient in one or more competencies during the two-year period after graduation.

Lanier technical college is home to Georgia's only ammonia refrigeration program, one of only a few in the country.
