LaPlante School of Hairstyling, established in 1968, is dedicated to providing area salons with qualified entry-level professionals.

In order to complete training, students at LaPlante School of Hairstyling must take 1,500 hours of Cosmetology; 600 hours of instructor training; or 400 hours of Nail Technology. LaPlante instructors have salon experience and facilitator training and are required to attend seminars and Hair Design classes to remain current with the latest methods and techniques.

Instructor training includes psychology and personality in teaching, counseling, business management and state law.
