L.E. Fletcher Technical community college is a professional technical two-year Community College located in Houma, Louisiana. L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College is a member of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College has three schools located in Houma: the main campus; L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College Allied Health Facility and the L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College Louisiana Marine and Petroleum Institute.

There are a variety of programs in which students may enroll at L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College to earn an associate degree, diploma or certificate. The programs include: including: accounting technology; office systems technology; a general education in art; biology; English; geology; history; math; music; physical science; psychology; and reading; nautical science; marine operations; practical nursing; nursing assistant; phlebotomy; emergency medical technician; drafting and design technology; electronics technology; technical studies; electrician; machine tool technology; marine diesel engine technician; residential air conditioning; and welding.

Students who wish to become Able Bodied Seaman may enroll in an 18-week tuition free course. After the first six weeks of study, L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College places students for paid internships within the sea industry for another six weeks. Some internships pay up to $100 a day. Once those internships are complete, students return to the college for the final six weeks to finish the course. The program prepares students for entry-level positions as seamen.

Prospective students wishing to enroll at L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College must have a high school diploma or GED for all of the associate degree programs and most of the certificate and diploma programs; and should either have SAT or ACT scores, or take the Compass exam. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. There may additional requirements for students enrolling in some of the allied health programs. Students who attend high school can dual enroll while completing their high school education. There is no on-campus housing available at L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College, but the school can provide ideas for affordable housing in the area. Students who attend L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College have access to the library, which is located on the second floor of the main building on campus.
