The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute is a school for the performing arts, located in New York and Los Angeles, dedicated to teaching method Acting techniques developed by Lee Strasberg. The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute offers aspiring actors a choice of a two-year certificate program, 12, or 36 week programs. filmmaking courses are also an option as a 24-week course in New York or a 12-week course in Los Angeles. The course emphasizes screenplay development and the fundamentals of visual storytelling and teaches students how to conceive, write, shoot and edit for film.

Students at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute are required to take 22 hours of course work per week for six sessions to earn the two-year certificate. Each session is 12 weeks. During this time, students take two method acting classes; a voice class; a movement class; a theatre history class, and six to eight hours of electives. One two-hour production class is also required.

Drama students at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts may choose the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute as their primary studio for two to four years. Training consists of three days a week in the Strasberg method for a minimum of four semesters.

In Los Angeles, students receive a certificate of merit after successfully completing 96 weeks of instruction for 22 hours per week. Customized programs of study between eight hours and 22 hours are also available.
