LeMoyne-Owen College is a private, church-affiliated, historically black institution providing a liberal arts education with an emphasis on career preparation and service to the community. Formed by the merger of LeMoyne College and Owen College in 1968, this Tennessee business college is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

LeMoyne-Owen College offers more than 20 degree programs in the academic divisions of business, education, fine arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics. Students can enrich their education by participating in service learning programs or the DuBois Scholars Program. In addition, LeMoyne-Owen College is a member of the Greater Memphis Consortium, and students are permitted to take courses at any member college including Christian Brothers University, Memphis College of Art, and Memphis Theological Seminary.

The athletic department at LeMoyne-Owen College offers basketball, baseball, volleyball, and tennis. Students can also participate in more than 30 clubs on campus, including Greek life, performing arts groups, academic organizations, honor societies, and student government.
