Lexington College, centrally located in the West Loop of downtown Chicago, prepares women for professional careers in the hospitality industry. Students may pursue an associate or a bachelor's of applied science degree in hospitality management.
Students enrolled in the bachelor's program select a concentration in
Culinary Arts, event planning, hotel/restaurant management, or
health care and wellness. These students must also receive a safety and sanitation certification. Students graduating with a hotel/restaurant management concentration will receive the Front Desk, Housekeeping Management, and Computer Applications in Hospitality Certifications administered by the
American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.
Lexington College students are required to complete two internships in order to receive a bachelor's degree and one for the
associate degree. Students also put together a portfolio that includes a resume and various final projects.

Lexington College operates on a semester schedule, so new students can begin in the fall or the spring semester.
Students pursuing an event planning concentration will have to take a Certified Meeting Planning exam administered by the Convention Industry Council.
