Lexington Theological
seminary is a private, graduate theological institution in Lexington, Kentucky. Founded in 1865, Lexington Theological
seminary aims to prepare students for ministry while serving the church as a theological resource. This
Kentucky seminary is affiliated with the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), but almost half of its enrollment comes from other denominations.
Lexington Theological Seminary offers four degrees: a Master of Divinity with an optional concentration in youth ministry, a Master of Arts with a concentration in Sacred Music or Religious
education, a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, and a Doctor of Ministry. All four degrees are accredited by the Association of Theological Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
The small campus is located just south of downtown Lexington and adjacent to the
University of Kentucky's main campus. Approximately 60 apartments, townhouses, and efficiencies are available to students, and campus life includes worship, special programs, and informal fellowship.
