Established in 1845 as South Carolina's first college for women, Limestone College is now a private, coeducational, nondenominational
Christian college. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, this South Carolina college's
liberal arts education aims to promote intellectual maturity, productive citizenship, and self-awareness.
Limestone College offers associate degrees in
business, computer science, and liberal studies. Students can also pursue bachelor's degrees in more than 45 academic majors in the arts, natural sciences, social sciences,
business, education, computer science, and mathematics. Limestone College is also a pioneer in distance learning, establishing off-campus programs in 1976 and
online learning in 1997. Continuing students can enroll in intensive four-week evening courses or complete more than 20 associate and bachelor's degree programs
online.
Limestone College is an NCAA Division II school with eight men's teams and nine women's teams. Students can also participate in a variety of organizations on campus, including Greek life, leadership groups, honor societies, religious organizations, student publications, and musical ensembles.
