Lone Star College - Montgomery is a community college located in Montgomery, Texas. Lone Star College - Montgomery is a part of the Lone Star College System. Other schools in the Lone Star College System include: CyFair; Kingwood; North Harris and Tomball. The Lone Star College System was founded in 1972 as the North Harris County College. The original college served students in the Aldine, Humble and Spring school districts. Later, New Caney, Tomball, Conroe, Willis, Splendora, Klein and Cypress-Fairbanks joined the consortium. In 2003, the Lone Star College System relocated to their present location in The Woodlands. The system was previously known as the North Harris Montgomery Community College District.

Lone Star College - Montgomery was founded in 1995 and sits on a 165 acres of pine forest campus between The Woodlands and Conroe. The school enrolls more than 9,000 students in degree programs each year, as well as an additional 4,000 students in continuing education courses.

Associate degree programs at Lone Star College - Montgomery include: teaching; computer science; criminal justice; Mexican American studies; music; speech; history; international studies; accounting; audio visual systems; automotive technology; aviation management; bio technology; child development and family studies; computer information technology; Cosmetology; dental hygiene; diagnostic medical sonography; electrician; emergency medical services; engineering design technology; electronics technology; fire science technology; geographical informational systems; health information technology; and more than 20 other programs of study.

Prospective students wishing to enroll in Lone Star College - Montgomery must have a high school diploma or GED for all of the associate degree programs and most of the certificate and diploma programs; and should either have SAT or ACT scores, or take the Compass exam. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools. Students in high school may dual enroll in the schools while completing their high school education. Students in need of GED assistance can obtain that from schools within the Lone Star College System.
