Founded in 1839, Loras College is a Catholic, coeducational, liberal arts college located in Iowa's oldest city, Dubuque. Accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, this Iowa Catholic College offers a faith-centered education that focuses on professional, social, and religious development.

Students at Loras College can choose from more than 40 undergraduate majors and 13 pre-professional programs in the fields of health and law. At the graduate level, master's degree programs are offered in special education, psychology, and theology. Active learning is emphasized, and students are encouraged to gain hands-on experience through research projects, internships, study abroad, and service learning.

Loras College is an NCAA Division III school with 11 men's teams and 10 women's teams competing at the varsity level. In addition, more than 80 percent of students participate in a wide range of intramural activities. More than 55 clubs are offered as well, including performance groups, campus ministry, and special interest organizations.
