For nearing a century, the Los Angeles Community College District has helped to educate more than three million students. With nine colleges that encompass nearly 900 square miles, the institution is a visible and tangible aspect of life for residents in California. In fact, over the years, these California colleges have taught nearly three times as many Latino students and almost four times as many African-American students as all of the University of California campuses combined.

You won't just find recent high school graduates roaming the halls, either. Committed to the concept of lifelong learning, the Lost Angeles Community College District regularly enroll students who are older than the traditional college-age range of 18 to 22.
