Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design, founded in 2001, is a small, private, architecture school that provides architecture or interior design students with a two to four semester education that allows them to transfer with advanced placement into a Bachelor's of Architecture program or Bachelor's of Interior Design program.

Academic programs include an architecture program, Graduate School preparation program, preparation for Master's of Architecture degree programs, advanced studies in American space, and an interior design program.

The Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design Graduate Preparation Program is for students who already have a bachelor's degree in another discipline and want to pursue a Master of Architecture Degree. The Advanced Studies in American Space Program, intended for advanced students and practicing professionals, lasts between one and two semesters and is a lecture and studio based program to explore spacemaking.
