Lourdes College is a private, coeducational,
liberal arts college accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and sponsored by the Sisters of
Saint Francis of Sylvania, Ohio. Originally founded in 1943 as an extension of the College of St. Theresa, this Ohio
Catholic College is now an independent college offering an education rooted in Catholic and Franciscan traditions.
More than a dozen undergraduate majors are offered through the School of
arts and sciences, along with degrees in
business, education, social work, and leadership studies through the School of Professional Studies. Lourdes College also offers
nursing programs, pre-professional programs, and three master's degree programs. Lourdes College also offers flexible scheduling and accelerated classes for continuing students, and approximately 60 percent of students are nontraditional.
Located 10 miles from Toledo, the Lourdes College campus includes a greenhouse, planetarium, and recreation center. Although Lourdes College is a commuter school, students can get involved in campus life through 20 student organizations including academic clubs, leadership groups, campus ministry, and student government.
