Luther College is a private, coeducational,
liberal arts college affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The academic program at this Iowa
liberal arts college accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and emphasizes faith, leadership, and community service.
Students at Luther College can choose from more than 60 majors and
certificate programs in the areas of
liberal arts, sciences, and pre-professional studies. Along with fall and spring semesters, the Luther College academic calendar includes a three-week term in January, during which students can
study abroad, complete an internship, or closely study one topic on campus. In addition, Luther College is one of only 176 campuses in the nation to have a chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Luther College is an NCAA Division III team with 10 men's teams and nine women's teams competing at the varsity level. In addition, approximately 70 percent of students participate in intramural and club sports. Luther College also offers more than 120 student organizations on campus, including musical ensembles, student publications, advocacy groups, and social clubs.
