Lycoming College is a private, coeducational, liberal arts college with a selective admissions process. Founded in 1812, it is one of the 50 oldest colleges in the nation. The academic program at this Pennsylvania liberal arts college is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and aims to promote communication, critical thinking, social responsibility, and leadership.

Students at Lycoming college can choose from more than 700 courses in more than 30 academic majors in the arts, sciences, humanities, business, and pre-professional studies. Motivated students can apply for the Lycoming Scholars Program, which comprises seminars, independent study, and interdisciplinary learning.

Lycoming College offers a strong residential experience on campus, with the majority of students residing on campus. As an NCAA Division III school, Lycoming College has nine men's teams and eight women's teams competing at the varsity level. Students can also participate in a wide variety of organizations, including social clubs, Greek life, academic groups, and intramural sports.
