Magdalen College, founded in 1973, is a co-educational,
Catholic liberal arts college located on 135 acres of woodland in the foothills of Mount Kearsarge and 80 minutes from
Boston. Students can pursue bachelor of arts and
associate of arts degrees in
liberal arts and an Apostolic Catechetical Diploma authorized by the Vatican. Facilities on the Magdalen campus include a chapel, classrooms, science lab, dining room, art studio, student lounge, gymnasium, library/learning center, observatory and a bookstore.
Magdalen College is committed to a student body of no more than 100 students. The student to faculty ratio is eight to one. Students pursuing a Bachelor's degree must take at least 120 academic credits and complete five tutorials per semester over a four-year period. The
associate degree requires a minimum of 60 earned credits and at least two tutorials per semester. Tutorials meet three hours per week, per academic semester.

Magdalen College does not accept any direct public funding--federal, state or local-- but provides need-based assistance to students through its financial aid program.
Approximately 30 percent of alumni have earned or are pursuing master's and/or doctoral degrees.
Enrolled students are required to reside on Magdalen College's campus.
