Mansfield University of Pennsylvania is a public, coeducational university that is one of 14 state universities in the Pennsylvania State system of higher education. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools, Mansfield University combines a liberal arts education with the resources of a comprehensive univeristy.

Students can choose from more than 60 undergraduate programs including business, communication, education, health sciences, fine arts, natural sciences, and social sciences. At the graduate level, students can pursue a master's degree in education, music, information technologies, and nursing. The Master of Science in Nursing can be completed online, along with a Master of Education in Art or School Library & Information Technology and a bachelor's degree in art history or nursing.

Mansfield University of Pennsylvania is an NCAA Division II school with six men's teams and eight women's teams competing at the varsity level. Students can also participate in a wide variety of organizations on campus including Greek life, academic clubs, performance groups, club sports, and professional organizations.
