The Marine Advanced Technology Education (MATE) Center is an organization that provides resources and information to students and teachers about marine education and marine-related workplaces and employers.

Based out of Monterey Peninsula College, the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center is a network of educational institutions and organizations.

Students have access to information on marine science and technology programs at schools in the United States as well as internship opportunities in the marine technical field.

Some of the programs developed by the Marine Advanced Technology Education Center for use in the classroom include an introduction to aquaculture, lab exercises and a careers course.
