Marlboro College is a private, liberal arts college in Marlboro, Vermont with a student-centered educational approach uncharacteristic of other colleges. Other colleges boast mandatory general course requirements, while Marlboro's freshmen, with the assistance of an advisor, engage in individualized programs of study determined by their academic history, personal interest, and needs.

Freshmen and sophomores at Marlboro College benefit from small class sizes, ranging from five to 20 students and can choose from more than 200 courses and 30 areas of study. Juniors and seniors receive one-on-one instruction from their professors in seminars of no more than six students. Each graduating senior's unique Plan of Concentration is evaluated by an outside expert in their field.
