Located in Boston, the Massachusetts college of Art and Design is the only publicly supported freestanding College of Visual Arts in the United States. They grant a bachelor of fine arts degree in over 20 concentrations as well as master's degrees in art education, fine arts, and architecture.

Founded in 1873, the Massachusetts college of Art and Design's professional programs are grounded in liberal learning. The Massachusetts College of Art and Design offers a post-baccalaureate program in teacher preparation. Through the Program of Continuing Education, non-degree students at MassArt can take courses that will result in design certificates.

After school, vacation, weekend, and summery courses are offered for young students grades K-12 at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
