Massachusetts College of Art and Design

621 Huntington Avenue
Boston, MA 02115

Located in Boston, the Massachusetts college of Art and Design is the only publicly supported freestanding College of Visual Arts in the United States. They grant a bachelor of fine arts degree in over 20 concentrations as well as master's degrees in art education, fine arts, and architecture.

Founded in 1873, the Massachusetts college of Art and Design's professional programs are grounded in liberal learning. Students' sensibilities are nurtured and they are encouraged to examine their work within global, historical, political, and social contexts. MassArt embraces new technologies and has designed its programs to encourage creativity in all students and challenge them to question traditional boundaries.

The vibrant environment and diverse community of MassArt lends itself to creative development, and its small classes--critique and lecture format--are taught by faculty who are professional, working artists. Students are nurtured as artists and individuals and given access to well-known international artists, top-notch studio facilities, and a thriving arts community.
