Massachusetts Community Colleges are lifelong learning centers. Every year, over 200,000 students enroll in Massachusetts Community Colleges where there is something for everyone. You can earn an associate in arts degree or associate in science degree, complete a
certificate program for today's most sought after careers, or prepare to transfer to a four-year college.
All Massachusetts Community Colleges are considered comprehensive regional community colleges because they offer an array of programs leading to certificates and
Associate Degrees, including a variety of
vocational programs. These institutions are engaged in adult basic, adult continuing, and job training type educational programs. They develop affiliations with high schools and industry and develop unique job training programs.
The 15 Massachusetts Community Colleges offer open access to high quality, affordable academic programs, including
Associate Degree and
certificate programs. They are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and provide academic preparation for transfer to four-year institutions, career preparation for entry into high demand occupational fields, developmental coursework and lifelong learning opportunities.
