Maui Academy of Healing Arts school of massage, a vocational school licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Education since 1988, trains students in the principles and techniques of Western, Eastern and Hawaiian styles of massage. Courses include a one-year preparatory training program in massage therapy, continuing education for licensed therapists, and classes and workshops offered to the general public for self-development.

The completion of the 600-hour, multi-disciplinary massage program at the Maui Massage School prepares students for the Hawaii State Licensing Exam. Most classes are held at the school in the evenings and on Saturdays. Some of the classes offered include: anatomy, physiology, structural kinesiology, pathology, body mechanics, pathology of skin conditions, Swedish-Esalen massage, Lomi Lomi massage, and Shiatsu massage.

Beginning classes at the Maui Academy of Healing Arts School of Massage are offered twice per year in late August and mid-March. Classes are held ten hours weekly on two weekday evenings and half a day on Saturdays.
