Mayo School of Graduate
medical education, founded in 1915, is one of five schools that comprise the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. The Mayo graduate
medical school offers more than 200 residency and fellowship programs including anesthesiology, dental specialties, emergency medicine, genetics, neurology, ophthalmology, psychiatry and preventive medicine.
Located on three campuses in
Arizona, Florida and
Minnesota, the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education has more than 1,400 residents and fellows enrolled in their education programs each year. Students receive extensive didactic training within their specialty and the opportunity for interdisciplinary studies.
Mayo also offers students interested in research a two-to five-year Clinical Research Scholars Program that leads to a postdoctoral master's degree in clinical research and the possibility of a career as an independent clinician investigator. Graduates of the Clinical Research Training Program are prepared to participate in and lead research teams in conducting patient-oriented research.
