McHenry County College offers a wide range of high-quality learning opportunities, enabling students to meet their educational, career and personal goals close to home at an affordable price. Founded in 1967, this Illinois community college was one of the first to come into existence after the Illinois Community College system was established in 1965.

McHenry County College provides credit and non-credit educational and training opportunities as well as special events for close to 60,000 participants annually. The college serves the fifth most rapidly growing county in Illinois and offers six associate degrees and 17 Associate of Applied Science degrees. McHenry County College also offers free adult education (including ESL and literacy classes), and free GED classes.
