The
medical Arts School provides training for individuals interested in careers in the
health care, esthetics, and professional massage fields. The
North Carolina medical arts school has 4,500 square feet of space, including two large classrooms, a student break room, a student resource center, library, on-site clinic rooms and administrative offices.
Classes at The Medical Arts School are conducted in spacious, climate-controlled classrooms. The classrooms contain up-to-date instructional equipment, including TV, VCR, overhead projector, charts, anatomical models, and treatment tables. Enrollment is limited to 30 students in all hands-on classes. Teaching assistants are used in classes with an enrollment greater than 15 students.
Student enrolled in the
massage therapy program at The Medical Arts School will complete an intense sequence of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology as well as learn various techniques such as neurokuscular therapy, chair massage, and
oriental medicine. The graduate will receive a diploma in professional
massage therapy as well as a certificate in trigger point therapy, a certificate in First Aid and CPR, a certificate of completion for the Carl Christie Chair Massage Program, and a certificate of attendance for the Zollinger Method of Reflexology.
