Meredith Manor Farrier School offers horseshoeing programs that lead to a career in the
equine industry. Electives available at the West
Virginia farrier school include horse handling, equine
massage therapy, equine
business management and horse health.
Students at the Meredith Manor Farrier School study the basic principles of horseshoeing, as well as the theoretical knowledge and the practical hands-on experience needed to deal with the day-to-day demands of the industry. Meredith Manor Farrier students have access to approximately 145 school horses of varying breeds, disciplines, and training levels.
The Meredith Manor program allows students the opportunity to get a basic understanding of craftsmanship, equine anatomy,
business concepts, and public relations. Courses are set up to cover a 12-week or 36-week period.
