Located in New Mexico, Mesalands community college is a two-year institution of higher learning that's dedicated to providing students with the vocational training and education necessary for either jump-starting their career or entering a traditional bachelor's degree program.

Towards this end, Mesalands Community College offers students a variety of course options and disciplines. Certificate programs, which generally require a year of study, cover subjects like advanced carpentry, fine arts metal casting, pre-nursing, technical and professional writing, truck driving, and farrier science -- which instructs students in the anatomy of horses, blacksmithing, and horseshoeing. Associate of the Arts degree programs are also offered in fields like business administration, sculpture, early childhood education, the liberal arts, criminal justice, social work, paleontology, and the pre-medical arts -- including pre-dentistry and pre-veterinary.
